a thirty-year collaboration in continuous evolution
the studio CarcanoStucchi was founded through the collaboration between the Como-based architects Guido Carcano and Simona Calori Stucchi. their cooperation began in the early 1990s when, within a larger professional association, a mutual synergy emerged that would lead them to carry out subsequent commissions together.
over time, the two professionals committed themselves to working across various fields, overseeing both design and construction supervision for the realization of architecture, gardens, interior environments and commercial spaces. a defining thread running through most of their work is the landscape in which they develop and implement their ideas and projects: the shores of Lake Como.
the now thirty-year collaboration is well established and recognized within the local context, continuing to operate in the fields of adaptive reuse, renovation, enhancement and new construction of properties that define this territory.
supporting their work as a duo, Daniela Barbugiani oversees organizational and managerial aspects, contributing to both the development and continuation of ongoing projects as well as the progression of matters concerning the studio itself.
in the early 2020s, the young architect Beatrice Giani joined the design team and, like the senior professionals, graduated from the Politecnico di Milano and passed the professional qualification exam under the Order of Architects of the province of Como.
Federica Spadacini also became part of the team during these years, collaborating with Daniela in the management field.
the studio as a whole also benefits from long-standing collaborations beyond the office on via enrico toti, allowing it to offer clients a comprehensive service in the management and development of projects. these collaborations mainly involve consultancy and technical services provided by professionals such as structural engineers, building services engineers, surveyors and specialized technicians across various sectors including swimming pools, landscape design, spa and wellness areas, furniture, lighting design and aesthetic consultancy related to everyday living elements.
the objective of studio CarcanoStucchi is therefore to offer and ensure the client the most complete professional service for the management of any type of intervention they are called upon to undertake; always placing at the center the enhancement of living quality and the bidirectional relationship between space and people.
